<p>The invention concerns a portable apparatus internal patch antenna element, comprising: a body in dielectric material (10); a conductive wafer (24) covering the dielectric upper surface; a conductive patch board (28) covering the dielectric side surfaces (18), electrically connected along its upper edge to said wafer and provided with electrical connecting means for connecting said conductive patch board to a ground plane (26) designed to be arranged along the dielectric lower surface (14), the other three side surfaces being not metal-coated, means (30, 32) passing through the dielectric body, for electrically connecting an antenna hotspot conductor to said wafer, and means forming capacitance (34) to produce a capacitor between the wafer and the ground plane when the antenna element is mounted on the ground plane, arranged in the proximity of the dielectric body side surface (16) opposite the one which is covered with said conductive patch board.</p> |
