PURPOSE:To obtain a cheap and high-durability polarizing plate easily, by sticking a supporting material to the face of one protection layer, at least, formed on the polarizing film by a pressure-sensitive adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A transparent resin is coated onto both faces of polarizing film 1 which uses the plastic film as the polarizing substance and is produced by dyeing and stretching, and this resin is subjected to the hardening treatment to form protection layers 2 and 2 which are not exfoliated even at a high temperature and a high humidity; and for the purpose of improving the dimensional stability, the plastic film such as a triacetate film is stuck to one face of protection layer 2 as supporting material 3 by pressure-sensitive adhesive 4, thereby producing a polarizing plate. In respect to the constitution of the polarizing plate, though the symmetrical form with polarizing film 1 as the center is desirable in consideration of deformation at a high temperature, the problem due to the asymmetrical form is resolved by using pressure-sensitive adhesive 4, which weakens the binding force between protection layer 2 and supporting material 3 at a high temperature, as the adhesive layer of supporting material 3. |
