PURPOSE:To make a worker's recording, operation and command unnecessary, and to prevent damage, etc. of a medium caused by a misrecording, by detecting thickness of the medium or a mark which is put on a medium, and controlling a magnetic recording operation of a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A medium 21 is inserted into a pathway 3, and is made to contact with a stopper 11, and a record commanding mark of the medium 21 is read by a sensor 12 and is outputted to a detecting circuit 13. Subsequently, the medium 21 is sent and set to the printing position by rollers 9, 10, and is made to execute a printing operation by a printing head 5, and after that, it is send and set to the position of a sensor 19, and is made to execute read and write of prescribed information by a head 16 through a controlling circuit 15 in accordance with a signal of the detecting circuit 13. Accordingly, the medium which does not execute magnetic recording and is discharged without contacting with the head 16 since there is no output from the detecting circuit 13, so that the medium is prevented from damage caused by friction, etc. |
