PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method which can recognize a recording state in recording operation even when the recording is carried out by a multipulse train adaptive to high density. SOLUTION: The information recording method which records information by forming mark areas by irradiating an optical disk medium having a recording layer with laser beam by submitting a laser beam source to modulated beam emission with a multipulse train consisting of a combination of heating pulses and cutoff pulses in a period having mark data length nT based upon a recording modulation system using a recording channel clock with a period T can recognize the recording state by detecting variation in the quantity of reflected light from the disk medium in recording operation at a detection position where the light emission intensity becomes constant by incorporating heating pulses H1 , H2 , H3 , or H4 for detection having wide pulse width not less than 1.5 T in the period of the multipulse train and uses the recognition result for proper control over the laser beam source. |
