PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance moisture impermeability, sealability, a barrier property, safety and the like for a container, and to improve the mechanical strength against separation in thermally welded part of the container. SOLUTION: A lead 3 used for this secondary battery is sandwiched by a thermally welded part 2 of a container 5 to be exposed outside the container 5, when the container 5 is sealed by thermal welding. Here, the lead 3 is coated with a thermal welding sealing material 1. The sealing material 1 is more satisfactory in adhesiveness for the lead 3 than a material for a sealant layer 19. An end part 1a, of a layer comprising the sealing material 1, in an outer side in the longitudinal direction of the lead 3 sticks out from an end face of the container 5 in the secondary battery. The lead 3 is allowed to be formed into meshed structure in the secondary battery. |
