PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high sealing strength by forming a block to heat a sheet in a pressurized condition using a highly rigid metallic material, and arranging a heat transfer member more excellent in heat transfer characteristic than the metallic material between a heater fitted to the block and a sheet pressing surface to realize the appropriate temperature distribution on the sheet pressing surface. SOLUTION: In a block 31 of a horizontal seal jaw 15, a pressing part 20 on a forward surface of which an upper sheet pressing surface 19a and a lower sheet pressing surface 19b are formed, and a connection part 21 to connect a support part 18 to the pressing part 20 are integratedly formed of a highly rigid metallic material. Heat transfer members 33a, 33b comprising rods high in heat conductivity which are extended in the longitudinal direction and reach both end parts are fitted to insertion holes 32a, 32b. The heat transfer characteristic between the heaters 24a, 24b and the sheet pressing surfaces 19a, 19b is improved, and the uniformity of the temperature distribution on the sheet pressing surfaces 19a, 19b during the sealing operation is improved. |
