The inventive method and device to demultiplex a frequency demodulated stereo multiplex signal comprising a stereo difference signal (sd(t)) and a stereo sum signal (ss(t)) improves the signal to noise ratio and the channel separation of a fm receiver especially when low RF signal amplitudes are received. This is achieved by a sliding, frequency selective stereo to mono blending dependent on the fieldstrength of the frequency modulated RF-signal and the spectral distribution of the fm-demodulated stereo difference signal (sd(t)) by blending out not needed components of the stereo difference signal ((sd(t)). <IMAGE> |
