PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline secondary battery for realizing cost reduction, by using a hydrogen storage alloy relatively low in cost as a negative electrode material. SOLUTION: An alkaline secondary battery negative electrode 3 has pellets 1 comprising TiFe hydrogen storage alloy powder and conductive powder, and a Ni net as a current collector 3 for holding the pellets 1. The TiFe hydrogen storage alloy powder is expressed by the chemical formula TiFe1-x Pdx [where (x) is a ratio in the number of atoms], and the ratio (x) in the number of atoms is 0.05<=x<=0.3. At least one kind of Ni powder, Cu powder, and C powder, is used as the conductive powder. |
