PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe contact lens compsn. which less affects the cornea and does not easily break during handling of the lens, cleaning, etc., by using N,N-dialkyl(meth)acryl amide and a specific high-polymer azo compd. as essential components. SOLUTION: The N,N-dialkyl(meth)acryl amide and the polysiloxane-contg. high-polymer azo compd. expressed by a formula are used as the essential components. In the formula, x denotes an integer from 10 to 100 and n denotes an integer from 1 to 12. The N,N-dialkyl(meth)acryl amide which is a hydrophilic monomer is a anionic monomer which is the basic skeleton for making the soft contact lens hydrophilic and is relatively highly hydrophilic. The N,N-dialkhyl(meth)acryl amide includes, for example, N,N-dimethy(meth)acryl amide, N,N-diethyl(meth)acryl amide, etc., which may be used alone or in combination of >=2 kinds. |
