PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the eyes of a person wearing the head mounted display device to be observed for the outside. SOLUTION: This head mounted display device is provided with a muscular potential detector 4, that detects a muscle potential that is generated by the motion of the eyeballs of a wearer of the head mounted display device, an image memory 5 that stores data of a muscle potential generated, in response to a state of eyes of the wearing person and image data of the eyes of the wearing party generated in advance corresponding to the muscle potential, an image converter 6 that selects image data corresponding to the image memory 5, in response to the muscle potential detected by the muscle potential detector 4 and provides the output of the selected image data, and a liquid crystal display device 3, that is placed at a position of the eyes of the person wearing the head mounted display device at the outside of a mount section 1 and displays image data from the image converter 6. |
