Fuel inlet valve, useful in direct injection internal combustion engines

A fuel inlet valve (I) has an organic film (II) that coats the surface of the outlet of (I). (II) comprises a perfluoropolyether compound having a mol. wt. of 2,000-6,000. Independent claims are included for (i) a combustion engine (III) having direct injection and comprising a cylinder head (10), air inlet (46) and exhaust gas outlet (50), a combustion chamber (14), a piston (45) that moves within the cylinder, a fuel injector (47) to inject fuel into the combustion chamber (14) and a spark plug (48) whereby (47) contains a fuel inlet valve (I) (ii) a vehicle having a combustion engine (III).
