The solar collector element consists of a double-walled hollow body (2) whose outer walling (4) contains a second area (14) so shaped that solar radiation striking the first area (12) of the body (2) is reflected onto the absorber layer (18) of the inner body walling (6). Viewed in section, this second area (14) forms a supine figure of three at right angles to the length of the long hollow body (2), the interior (10) of the body lying above the center of the figure three. The interior (10) is accessible from the side and is closed off at one end and flexibly fixed here by a holder. An element of this holder extends into the insulating space (8) from end face (21), overlaps the interior (10) and is spaced from the inner wall (6). The holder also has several springs encircling the inner wall (6) and so filling out the interval between wall (6) and holder.
