The invention relates to a device for assembling prefabricated construction elements making it possible to build or dismantle rapidly adaptable lightweight dwellings with minimum manpower. It consists of a metal base 1 made up of C-shaped sections bolted together, supporting floor tiles 2 made of waterproof wood. Metal arches 3, screwed at their feet onto the base 1 and at their tops onto a connecting frame 4, form a rigid framework. Infill panels 5 and roofing elements 6 made of synthetic materials screwed onto the arches 3 form a habitable waterproof shell. A ridge cap 7 of the same kind screwed onto the connecting frame 4 covers the ends of the roofing elements 6, thereby waterproofing the ridge of the construction.
