FLAME RETARDANT COMPOSITION AND FLAME-RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonhalogen flame retardant composition showing suppressed bleed out and exhibiting high flame retardancy and to obtain a flame-retardant resin composition. SOLUTION: There is provided a flame retardant composition comprising a low-melting phosphorus flame retardant (A) and a high-melting phosphorus flame retardant (B) in an A/B ratio of 0.1-2.0 by weight. The melting point TA of flame retardant A may be 60 deg.C or below, and the difference between the melting point TB of flame retardant B and TA[Δ(TB-TA)] may be 10-300 deg.C. Flame retardant A may be a non-condensed phosphorus flame retardant (C), and flame retardant B may be a condensed phosphorus flame retardant (D). There is also provided a flame-retardant resin composition comprising the above composition and a thermoplastic resin (e.g. a polyamide resin having units of polyamide 11 or 12 or the like).
