PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transparent and sufficiently antistatic container by providing a container for storing a record medium including a permanent antistatic function whose phase vale and surface resistance are specific values and formed of a transparent and dust-proof resin. SOLUTION: A resin used for a container for storing a record medium should have physical properties with a phase <=40% and surface resistance =1×10<10> to 1×10<14>Ω/cm<2> , and the resin is selected among an electricity regulating polycarbonate containing resin composition, a transparent electricity regulating acrylate containing resin composition, and a transparent electricity regulating polystyrene containing resin composition. Thus the container for storing a recording and playing disks can be obtained wherein the container is transparent to allow an interior to be observed, antistatic function may not deteriorate due to cleaning, wiping or the like, and the container is formed of a specific resin having permanent electrifying prevention function.
