<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of feeding sheets in a short time without requiring reverse motion of a carrying roller on the side of an image recorder for correction of a heading position during feeding. SOLUTION: Sheets are stacked on a pressure plate 21. The pressure plate 21 rotationally movable up and down around a supporting shaft 21a is rotationally moved up by the energization of a pressure plate spring 24. When the pressure plate 21 is rotationally moved up, the highest sheet contacts a feeding roller 22 and the feeding roller 22 is rotated clockwise to deliver the sheet. The pressure plate 21 is pushed down (from a P1 position to a P2 position) by a pressure release cam 90 rotated clockwise by the drive of a motor 92 and released from the feeding roller 22. The driving force of a carrying roller (not illustrated) on the side of an image recorder is transmitted to the feeding roller 22 via a gear train (not illustrated). In this way, the feeding roller 22 is stopped when feeding the sheet to the minimum heading position.</p> |
