<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the electric power of a device by cutting off the feed of the electric power from an electric power feeding means when the humidity detected by a humidity detecting means is below a prescribed value. SOLUTION: The humidity in an image forming device is detected by a humidity detecting sensor as a voltage value, the voltage value is A/D-converted, and the humidity value read (step 1). Whether the read humidity value is a prescribed value or above is judged (step 2). If the humidity value is the prescribed value or above, a switch means is turned on, electric power is fed from an AC power supply, and a heating means is heated (step 3). If the humidity value is below the prescribed value, the switch means is turned off, the electric power from the AC power supply is cut off, and the heating of the heating means is stopped (step 4). The feed of the electric power from the AC power supply to the heating means is controlled according to the humidity value in the image forming device, thereby the dehumidification of sheets and the power saving of the device can be concurrently realized.</p> |
