PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly specify the position of a wire to be used for a wire saw. SOLUTION: In a wire saw to cut a work W by moving a wire 15 in contact with a surface of the work W, arbitrary position of the wire 16 is specified by the accumulated number of revolution of reels 10, 11. Since the position of the wire 16 and the accumulated number of revolution of the reels 10, 11 are in a one-to-one ratio, the position of the wire 16 can be correctly grasped by the accumulated number of revolution. |
