<p>The lighter has a gas reservoir (3) with a valve and control member (9), and a wheel (19) and flint (21) to create a spark. It has a sleeve (3) at least partially surrounding the reservoir and ignition assembly and capable of lengthwise movement between closed and open positions. The sleeve's inner surfaces (4, 5) are designed to rotate the ignition wheel and open the gas valve as the sleeve moves towards its open position, e.g. in the form of a notched lengthwise rib engaging with a wheel (20) which turns the ignition wheel, and a sloping surface which interacts with a branch (9b) of the valve control member.</p> |
