PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage tank for heat storage air conditioner in which the coefficient of performance and cooling ability of refrigerating cycles is not deteriorated much by stagnant refrigerant or oil and which has a high ice packing factor. SOLUTION: In a cylindrical heat storage tank 1 for heat storage air conditioner which is filled up with water as a heat storage medium and stores the heat of a refrigerant from refrigerating cycles in the heat storage medium as cold heat or hot heat through a heat exchanger for heat storage set up in the tank 1, the heat exchanger is set up in such a way that at least four or more sets of spiral pipelines 2 each of which is spirally wound in a plurality of layers are arranged in four or more spaces obtained by evenly dividing the cylindrical space in the tank 1 around the axis of rotation of the tank 1 so that the centers of spirals of the pipelines 2 and 2 may be positioned at regular angles on a circumference drawn from the axis of rotation and, in addition, each pipeline 2 is arranged so that the pipeline 2 may be positioned to a nearly half-radium position of the cylindrical space of the tank 1 along a cylindrical space formed by the divided spaces having fan-shaped cross sections.
