PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a data reproducer by detecting the second data embedded in first data while reproducing the first data being picture and voice information and stopping the detecting operation of a detecting means for a prescribed time after the detecting means detects the second data once. SOLUTION: When a copy control information detecting means 16 detects second data once, a system control means 19 stops the detecting operation of the means 16 for a prescribed time, for example, for an N seconds and operates the detecting means 16 again after the N seconds. Moreover, the control means 19 receives IDs expressing attributes of data and track numbers from the management information of the data reproduced in a reproduced signal processing means 15 and when recorded data are discontinuous, the means 19 makes the detecting means 16 perform the detecting operation. There are a case that the means 15 outputs data posterior to the performing of a decoding and an error correcting and a case that the means 15 outputs data posterior to the performing of an expanding processing when recorded data are picture data compressed with an MPEG. |
