PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make executable fast and precise positioning through the use of near field light of a large strength and a small spot diameter by bringing an optical recording/reproducing element, which is formed at a slider and provided with a fine opening on a rocking mechanism, into contact with a recording medium with contact elements on both sided. SOLUTION: The slider 3 of the optical head 101 is provided with the optical recording/reproducing element 1 at a vertex part of the beam 4 provided with two piezoelectric elements 5 of a triangle structure, and two contact elements 2 with the recording medium. The element 1 is provided with the fine opening generating near field light on a plane at the vertex part of the same outline as the elements 2 and comes into contact with the recording medium with the elements 2. At the time of applying voltage so as to swell one of the elements 5 and the reduce the other, the element 1 finely moves to right and left with respect to a tracking direction 14 recording an information signal on the recording medium. Thus, fast and precise tracking of a resolution smaller than 10 nm becomes possible. |
