PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output uniformly reliable phase error information independent of the amount of transmission data by dividing a difference between a digital demodulated signal and the transmission data concerning the output added with a digital orthogonal signal orthogonal to the digital demodulated signal and an output applying a gain to the digital demodulated signal. SOLUTION: Based on a demodulated digital signal (I signal), a data discriminating circuit 1 discriminates the transmission data and outputs the result. A subtraction circuit 2 inputs the output of the data discriminating circuit 1 and the I signal, and outputs a difference of these signals. A gain adding circuit 4 adds a prescribed gain to the I signal. Corresponding to the output of a code detecting circuit 5, a code adding circuit 6 inverts the polarity of the output from the gain adding circuit 4. On the other hand, an adder circuit 7 adds the output of the code adding circuit 6 and the digital orthogonal signal (Q signal) making its phase orthogonal to the I signal and outputs the result. Thus, a division circuit 3 outputs a phase error signal between a reproduced carrier wave signal and the desired carrier wave signal. |
