Phosphorylated polypeptides, SREBP1 (sterol regulatory element binding proteins) (I) and SREBP2 (II), comprising 1146 and 1141 amino acid sequences, respectively, both fully defined in the specification and their allelic variants or derivatives with transcription factor activity, are new.
