The cable carrier (1) includes a cable holder section (2) and a mounting section with one or several teeth. The mounting section and the one or more teeth are designed in such way, that they are inserted with a first alignment of the cable carrier in a deepening (12) of the furniture piece. The one or more teeth are modeled in such way, that they penetrate into one or both side walls at a turn of the cable carrier around an rotation axis, from the first alignment into a second alignment. An Independent claim is provided for mounting a cable with the cable carrier.
