<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder coating apparatus with which the exact ratio between fresh powder and recovered powder can be easily and rapidly detected and regulated and a method for supplying and mixing the powder into this coating apparatus. SOLUTION: This powder coating apparatus includes a fresh powder vessel 10 for housing the fresh powder, a recovering vessel 12 for housing the powder recovered from a coating stage and a mixing vessel 14 connected to the fresh powder vessel through a first powder line 16 and connected to the recovering vessel through a second powder line 20. The apparatus also includes a control means for setting the powder flow rates of the first powder line and the second powder line at a prescribed fresh powder/recovered powder ratio. The first powder line is provided with a first powder flow rate sensor 18 and the second powder line is provided with a second powder flow rate sensor 22. The control means is connected to the first and second powder flow rate sensors, detects the powder flow rates in the first and second powder lines and regulates the ratio thereof.</p> |
