A steel pipe of a ferrite structure is manufactured by hot- rolling a steel ingot to produce a steel plate, electric resistance welding the plate to produce a pipe, normalizing the pipe at 780-1100 deg.C for 3min. The steel ingot is composed of at most 0.04wt.% C, at most 1.0wt.% Si, 0.2-1.5wt.% Mn, at most 0.04wt.% P, at most 0.01wt.% S, 0.05-0.5wt.% Cu, 0.001-0.01wt.% Ca, at most 0.1wt.% Al, at most 1.0wt.% Ni, 0.02-1.0wt.% Cr, 0.2-1.0wt.% Mo and 0.01-1.0wt% W. The steel pipe has an excellent corrosion-resistance.
