PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monolithic refractory excellent in burst resistance without bringing about increase of water content added to monolithic refractory and lowering of corrosion resistance and strength. SOLUTION: This monolithic refractory comprises a refractory raw material, a binder, a prescribed water and slightly water-soluble compound powder having sublimability at <=100 deg.C and used in an amount of 0.1-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. prescribed water. The compound powder comprises one or more kinds of powder selected from naphthalene, naphthalenediamine, naphthol, para- dichlorobenzene, camphor, benzoic acid and coumarin and has <=50 μm particle diameter. |
