PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a transferring medium from contacting with a control electrode or a gate section and to form a good image by a constitution wherein a conductive member provided opposite an opposing electrode is provided to each gate section only at the upstream side in the advancing direction of the transferring medium and a conductive member is provided to an intermediate part between the gate sections. SOLUTION: When an image signal is transmitted to a controller section 7 from a host computer, the image signal is divided into a control signal such as a printing start signal and a transferring medium size detecting signal, and image data, then the transferring medium is fed out by virtue of rotation of a pick-up roller. At a portion in the vicinity of a control electrode 23, the transferring medium is pressed against a conductive member 25a by an opposing electrode 11 which is elastically supported by a spring to be movable. The conductive member 25a is made of a polyimide having carbon particles added therein which is provided to the control electrode 23 at a side of the opposing electrode 11. A voltage of 50 V is applied to the conductive member 25a and a gap between the transferring medium and a gate section 22 is maintained constant by virtue of the conductive member 25a so that printing is performed on a predetermined position on the transferring medium. |
