<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electron emitting element which presents an enhanced tight attaching of a thin film including an electron emission part consisting of a base board and an electron emitting material. CONSTITUTION:An electron emitting element is structured so that a particulate film 6 having an electron emission part 4 is provided between element electrodes 2, 3 on a base board 1 and that an underlay film 11 of metal compound is provided on that surface area of base board 1 which contacts at least the particulate film 6. The metal compound should preferably be zinc oxide while the particulate film 6 consist of paradium or a material chiefly containing paradium.</p> |
