PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating additive for gas oil for preventing or reducing deffective motion of a fuel pump caused by decreasing the sulfur content of gas oil and a gas oil compsn. contg. the same. SOLUTION: Substances such as listed below are added as lubricating additives in an amt. of 0.001-0.1 wt.%, pref. 0.005-0.05 wt.%, to gas oil: (1) a dimer of a 2-30C aliph. hydroxycarboxylic acid (e.g. ricinolic acid) and a copolymer of ethylene and a vinyl ester of a satd. carboxylic acid, (2) an ester compd. of an aliph. hydroxycarboxylic acid (e.g. ricinolic acid) and an 8-22C aliph. carboxylic acid (e.g. oleic acid) and a copolymer of ethylene and a vinyl ester of a satd. carboxylic acid, and (3) a monoglyceride, or the like of the ester compd. of (2) and a copolymer of ethylene and a vinyl ester of a satd. carboxylic acid. |
