A device for controlling a throttle valve of an engine by increasing a signal for controlling the opening of the throttle valve more as the response of the throttle valve is worse so as to enhance the rapidness and response of the valve. The device comprises means for comparing the target opening degree, which is the control target of the throttle valve, with the actual opening degree obtained by a sensor and so forth and for finding the correction target opening degree of the throttle valve from a map or by calculation according to the difference obtained by the comparison.
