In order to preserve the walls (6) of a cabin (1) clean and to recover paint particles (5) sprayed inside the cabin (1) as a paint cloud, a laminar flowing water film (8) is formed on at least part of the cabin walls (6). High voltage being applied to said part so that the paint particles (5) are carried away on the surface of the water film (8) from the inside of the cabin (1). The paint particles (5) are separated from the water and then dried. Both the paint particles and the water can be used again.
