<p>This invention relates to a method of measuring magnetic properties of water-insoluble particulate materials, in particular particulate magnetic resonance (mr) contrast agents. The method comprises disposing said sedimentable agent in a flowable aqueous solution of a polyalkyleneoxide-based matrix forming agent, optionally cooling the resulting dispersion to form a non-flowable aqueous dispersion of said sedimentable agent, measuring a magnetic property of said dispersion, and if desired calculating from the measured magnetic property a magnetic property of said agent or said dispersion. The method is useful in mr imaging applications.</p> |
