Production of polyols useful in polyurethane production from polyurethane waste

In the production of polyols (I) by depolymerization of polyurethane (PUR) waste in the presence of hydroxyl compounds at elevated temperature, the waste is added to and reacted in a mixture (II) of diol(s) (IIA) and primary and/or secondary aliphatic amine(s) (IIB) at 120-220 deg C, using weight ratios of (IIA):(IIB) of (10-1):1 and of (II):PUR <= 1:12. An Independent claim is also included for (I) produced in this way for the production of PUR.
