The cutting tool for machining valve seats comprises a driving system (10), a machining head (2), a pilot (50), a depth gauge (48), and a system controller (54). The driving system (10) provides rotational movement and vertical movement for the machining head (2) which is controlled by the system controller (54). The machining head (2) further comprises a pinion feed driving assembly (22) and a universal cutting blade (44). The pinion feed driving assembly (22) causes the cutting radius of the cutting tool (44) to decrease as the machining head rotates. The pilot (48) is attached to the bottom of the machining head (2) to provide a means for centering the cutting tool (44). The depth gauge (48) is disposed on the driving system and is electrically connected to the system controller.
