PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a fuel injection quantity according to only combustion torque including no other torque element by properly recognizing the combustion torque. SOLUTION: In this controlling method, engine torque is computed from crank angle data in each of an exhaust stroke and an expansion stroke of a four-cycle engine, and absorption torque is computed from the engine torque in the exhaust stroke (S81). Combustion torque is computed from the engine torque in the expansion stroke and the absorption torque (S85), and a fluctuation rate of the combustion torque is computed (S87). If the combustion torque fluctuation rate is higher than a predetermined value, a correction value for a target air-fuel ratio is computed, and on the basis of the target air-fuel ratio corrected by this correction value, fuel injection is carried out. |
