PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile energy absorber consisting of a recyclable foaming molded body which has sufficient heat resistance even in the case of not only room temperature but also a temperature of 80 deg.C and has impact resistance against the high impact of a car crash or the like and also is excellent in energy absorbency under the low temperature. SOLUTION: This energy absorber is comprised of a polycarbonate resin foaming molded body of less than 0.6 g/cm<3> in density, and it is featured that a value made up of dividing an energy absorbed amount in time of a compression of 50% in a temperature of 80 deg.C in the molded body by the density of this molded body is more than 30 (kg.cm/cm<3> )/(g/cm<3> ).
