PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily exchangeable only a light source at the time of a fault in the light source by constituting a liquid crystal device for displaying a prescribed information by means of disposing a liquid crystal layer and the light source for projecting a light from the back side in a liquid crystal display device main body and providing the light source to be freely attachable/ detachable as against the main body. SOLUTION: A variable display device which variably displays plural kinds of identifying information, which is arranged in the game area of a Japanese pinball game machine, is provided with an LCD unit 24, and the unit 24 is constituted by disposing a unit base 31 having an opening part 32, a liquid crystal display plate 25B and a CFL(cold cathode fluorescent lamp) unit 45 which is fitted to the rear surface side of the plate 25B and houseed inside the opening 32 of the unit base 31. The plate 25B is fitted by pinching a diffusing plate for diffusing the light on the front surface of the CFL unit 45. The unit 45 is provided with a back light 46 and a reflection plate 47 for reflecting the light and permitting it to be made incident to the diffusing plate and the back light 46 is exchanged by removing a side part cover 57 from a cover 50. |
