PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit the labor of carrying and mounting a base tape onto a separately set double end cutting device by arranging a recessed roller having recessed grooves formed on the circumferential surface and a protruding roller having protruding edges formed on the circumferential surface on a carrying passage for a base tape with a slurry applied thereto and dried, and removing the edge part where the slurry is swollen. SOLUTION: A slurry is applied to a base tape by a coating machine, and the resulting tape is dried through a drying furnace and wound on a winding roll. A recessed roller 4 and a protruding roller 5 are arranged on a carrying-out passage extending from the drying furnace to the winding roll. The recessed roller 4, which is a carrying driven roller in the carrying-out passage, has two ring-like recessed grooves 4a on both ends of the circumferential surface. The protruding roller 5 has ring-like protruding edges 5a in the positions corresponding to the two recessed grooves 4a of the recessed roller 4 on the circumferential surface, and it is arranged above the recessed roller 4. The protruding roller 5 is approached to the recessed roller 4 to insert the cutting edges of the protruding edges 5a into the recessed grooves 4a, whereby both ends of the base tape are cut together with the swollen edge parts of the slurry. |
