<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high quality recording regardless of speed fluctuation of a motor for carrying a recording sheet. SOLUTION: The thermal printer comprises a large number of heating elements for forming an image on a recording sheet upon heating, and a motor for carrying the recording sheet oppositely to the sub-scanning direction by turning a specifies angle every time when a motor drive pulse is inputted wherein the large number of heating elements are sectioned into a plurality of sets being conducted based on strobe signals STB1, STB2 while shifting the timing. Sequential conduction of all sets of heating elements based on the strobe signals STB1, STB2 is repeated a plurality of times during every on interval of the motor drive pulse.</p> |
