<p>A magnetic head for magnetooptical recording includes a substrate, a magnetic core provided on the substrate, a coil wound on the magnetic core, and a drive device for driving the coil. Further, a reinforcing member is provided around the coil so that the substrate is reinforced. The reinforcing member contains thermosetting resinous material.
