PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a storage alloy in which small amount of cobalt is contained, and having sufficiently long cyclic life. SOLUTION: This metal oxide-metal hydride-alkaline battery is provided with a positive electrode containing a metal oxide, and a negative electrode formed from a hydrogen storage alloy material having nickel and cobalt elements as well as a metal mixture, and exhibiting a crystal structure of CaCu5 - type. Here, the composition of the hydrogen storage alloy material is represented by the following formula: Mm1-a Zra Niv Alw Mnx Coy Fez [in the formula, Mm is a mesh metal, and the parameters are as follows: 0<a<=0.07; 0.3<=w<=0.6; 0<=x<=0.1; 0<=y<=0.1; 0.3<=z<=0.55; 4.9<=v+w+x+y+z<=5.4]. |
