PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the simultaneous reception of analog broadcasting by subjecting decoded moving picture data obtained by decoding digital moving picture data to picture format conversion to output moving picture data so as to facilitate correspondence handling of various picture formats. SOLUTION: According to picture format information obtained from encoded video data, a video decoder 12 writes decoded picture information in a memory 8. A first OSD circuit 13 mixes picture information with screen data to supply for a reformatter 14. The output of a second OSD circuit 15 inputting the output of the reformatter 14 is converted to an analog signal by first DAC 16 and displayed on a monitor 18 through a monitor driving circuit 17. By properly setting the operation setting of the reformatter 14 based on the picture format of decoded video data, plural picture formats are converted to one picture format to display on the monitor 18.
