The child's seat (10) is fitted to the vehicle floor (14) by primary fittings (20), which carry the support frame (26). This consists of primary (28) and secondary (30) frame members, which carry the seat at the upper extremities and at the lower ends are fitted to the floor fittings. The two members are fitted together, scissor like, to pivot around the horizontal axis (A), so that the frame can be folded away when not in use. The seat is attached to the frame by the secondary (24) fittings.
