PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overcharge and detect full charge exactly, by detecting both ON-voltage and OFF-voltage, detecting both chargingΔV of ON-voltage dropping from its peak value and pausingΔV of OFF-voltage dropping from its peak value, and detecting either of them being higher than its set value. SOLUTION: ON-voltage rises quickly upon charging start, lowers moderately, rises again to peak voltage, and drops byΔV to full charging. OFF-voltage rises gradually after charging starts, so as to become peak voltage, and drops byΔV. When chargingΔV of ON-voltage becomes higher than its set value, charging is taken as being full. When OFF-voltage becomes lower than the set value of pausingΔV, charging is taken as being full. When ON-voltage becomes lower than the set value of the chargingΔV, charging is taken as being full. It is thus possible to detect full charging precisely, thereby preventing overcharge effectively.
