PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display driving method and the device capable of preventing the degradation of image quality in the case of suppressing power and turning the rate of actually suppressing power consumption to the same degree as a desired suppression rate. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a pattern generation circuit 24 for generating the plural kinds of the discharge number-of-times patterns of one field composed of the discharge number of times for each sub field in a prescribed order for each field corresponding to a suppression rate and a driving waveform generation circuit 26 for generating discharge pulses for each sub field by the discharge number of times indicated by the discharge number-of- times pattern generated in the pattern generation circuit 24. |
