<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an actuator driven by a pulse on a multi-dimensional coordinate. SOLUTION: In this control method, a cutting tool connected with the actuator of a machine tool is controlled on a designated path and at a designated speed by controlling the output pulse of a multiplier. A command for instructing the data of the coordinates of plural points including an A point and a B point on the designated path and a designated speed F and the kind of interpolation is received. Then, the A and B points are interpolated with a straight line, and the interpolated straight line is divided into fine lengthΔL and fine lengthΔLa corresponding to a fine timeΔT. Either a first control signal for holding the designated speed F corresponding to the fine lengthΔL or a second control signal for holding the designated speed F corresponding to the fine lengthΔLa is transmitted to a pulse oscillator for supplying a pulse to a multiplier, and theΔT is changed. Thus, when a cutting tool moves to eitherΔL orΔLa part, the designated speed F can be maintained by properly selecting the control signal.</p> |
