PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a plurality of printing units and folding units simultaneously and synchronously. SOLUTION: The driving device for a printing unit is constituted of a motor driving means 1, capable of driving the driven parts of respective single/plurality of printing units and folding units which are equipped on a rotary press, a connecting mechanism, for connecting a motor driving means to parts to be driven so as to permit operation in conjunction with them and provided with a reduction gear mechanism 3, and a braking mechanism 5, provided on the connecting mechanism including the motor driving means so as to effect braking operation upon intercepting power supply to the motor driving means. Respective motor driving means, operated synchronously by combining selectively, will not stop the inertia rotation of respective means inconsistently but stop them simultaneously when the power supply is intercepted. |
