The device (10) comprises a switching key (14) for activating switching contacts in a switch rocker (30), a carrier plate (26), and a cover (12) which is fastened to the carrier plate, and is removable only by using a tool. The carrier plate is screwed at a designated installation surface area, independent of flush mounted installation socket. The switching key is firmly connected with the switching rocker, and is removable only by means of a tool, after removing the cover. The device has a switch rocker has an integrated light indicator which back lights the switching key.
